30 second on air commercial I created for UTV Ireland for the client Reep Rewards.
The concept was playing on the Better Call Saul, VHS style adverts.
Shot on green screen and composited using After Effects.

30 second on air commercial I created for UTV Ireland for the client Reep Rewards.The concept was playing on the Better Call Saul, VHS style adverts.

 To achieve the VHS style seen in the commercial we filmed James infront of a green screen on a Sony FS7.  The entire commercial was shot in one continuous take.  Throughout the duration of the video props such as a pile of sausages, nappies and cock

The entire commercial was shot in one continuous take.

Throughout the duration of the video props such as a pile of sausages, nappies and cocktail glass are handed or tossed at James. This required multiple takes and key timing to ensure the entire shot ran smooth from start to finish.

 The raw footage was then taken into After Effects where the greenscreen was keyed out.  I then animated the backgrounds to appear behind James coinciding with various different audio queues.  Several filters, distortions and noise were added to give

Several filters, distortions and noise were added to give the commercial an overall VHS feel reminiscent of Better Call Saul.

Extensive audio work was done in post-production to create an immersive experience taking the viewer with James from his journey from shop to the beach - "the finer things in life".

 The Reep Rewards campaign was a resounding success.  It increased overall brand awareness and proved a small viral success amounting over  130,000  views on  Youtube .
